Lecture Series: Sean Lynch
March 5 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Sean Lynch’s sculptures, installations, and multimedia work stems from an interest in the role that history, especially forgotten history, plays in our lives. Through extensive research, Lynch uncovers the objects, events, and stories from the past that continue to shape societal structures and cultural identity. Lynch, who is a visiting professor for the spring 2019 semester, has had recent solo exhibitions at the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin; Charles H. Scott Gallery, Vancouver; and the Rose Art Museum, Boston; among others. In 2015, he represented Ireland at the Venice Biennale.
All lectures are free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the East Campus Garage after 5:00pm or on Frew, Margaret Morrison, and Tech Streets after 6:00pm.
