Conceptual artist Tavares Strachan calls into question the conditions that frame and legitimize certain cultural knowledge and histories while obscuring and erasing others. Strachan has exhibited at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the ICA Philadelphia, and in the Prospect 3. Biennial in New Orleans. He represented The Bahamas in the 2013 Venice Biennale.

Organized in collaboration with Carnegie Museum of Art and Carnegie International, 57th Edition, 2018.

All lectures are free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the East Campus Garage after 5:00pm or on Frew, Margaret Morrison, and Tech Streets after 6:00pm.
