Professor Andrew Ellis Johnson‘s video “The Crossing” screens at the 34th edition of Festival Les Instants Vidéo at Friche la Belle de Mai, Marseille, France, November 10, 2021 through February 13, 2022. “The Crossing” stares at the instability of freedom, the fragility of democracy, the precarity of the revolutionary spirit and the vulnerability of memory.
Since 1988, the International Festival Les Instants Vidéo has been dedicated to video, digital and poetic arts (installations, performances, multi-media, etc.). It takes place in Marseille in November, and before and after these dates, the festival collaborates with partners to organize stopovers for the festival in other places.
