Professor Johannes DeYoung presents work in the seventh annual Supernova Digital Animation Festival in Denver, CO, September 1 through 30. Supernova 7th Dimension showcases digital animation and motion art that promotes experimentation, innovation, imagination, individual artistry, equity, diversity, and solidarity amongst those leveraging computer software as the primary tools in their craft.
Supernova’s primary emphasis is on short-form animation and motion-artworks, with installations and public events presented at venues throughout Denver during the month of September. Venues include the facade of Daniels & Fisher Tower, one of downtown Denver’s most iconic buildings, Buell Theatre Arts Complex, Sie Film Center, and six of Denver’s outdoor public LED billboard displays. Ongoing collaborations with Denver Film and Meow Wolf Convergence Station extend Supernova’s programming at Denver sites throughout the year.
