Professor DeYoung Screens New Work in the Supernova Digital Animation Festival

Posted on September 22, 2021

Professor Johannes DeYoung presents new works at the Supernova Digital Animation Festival in Denver, CO during the month of September 2021. The Festival brings digital animation and motion art to the public through an extensive network of LED displays located in downtown Denver, Colorado, and to animation enthusiasts worldwide through the festival’s online programming. Supernova’s sixth iteration Regeneration celebrates a period of renewed existence, an improvement of social and economic conditions, a release from corruption, positive feedback, and the reactivation of a catalyst. A Regeneration in the spirit of change and expansive reasoning towards an alternate future that puts digital motion artists and their work at the forefront.

DeYoung’s work includes a video mural for the split-surface public LED located at 16th and Arapahoe streets in Denver’s theater district, as well as a single channel video, Wandering Within the Sea of Fog, presented in the festival’s theatrical and virtual screening programs.
