Visiting Assistant Professor of Art Angela Washko speaks at Flânerie and the Politics of Public Space on Apr 15 at The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, PA. The symposium addresses the history of flânerie and the contemporary race and gender politics enmeshed in various physical and digital public spaces.

Presenting writers, artists, and scholars include Bridget Alsdorf, Man Bartlett, André Dombrowski, Tom McDonough, Doreen St. Félix, and Janet Wolff. Talks run from 9am–4pm at The Barnes Foundation, 2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130.
