Casey Li Brander Work for UNLOADED at Dickinson College

“UNLOADED” is a multi-media, group exhibition that explores the historic and social issues surrounding the divisive nature of gun ownership in the United States. Curated by Professor Susanne Slavick, the exhibition presents a number of perspectives on the image and impact of guns in contemporary culture. Works by twenty-two artists examine, according to Slavick, “the role that guns continue to play in our national mythologies, suicide rates, individual and mass murder, domestic violence, and the militarization of civilian life.”

“UNLOADED” is on view at The Trout Gallery at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA beginning November 2. Professor Slavick will give a curator’s lecture at 5:30pm before the opening reception.
