Undergraduate student Michelle Janco is one of two recipients of the Student Illustrator Scholarship from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) for their summer 2019 conference.
From August 9-12, Janco will travel to the SCBWI annual conference in Los Angeles where she will showcase her work, have an individual portfolio consultation with an an illustrator, attend the Illustrator Intensive, and meet with art directors, agents, and other artists. Many previous scholarship recipients have gone on to be represented by agents, get professional illustration work, publish books, and win industry awards.
