As part of Reel Q: Pittsburgh LGBTQ+ Film Festival, Washko will screen her documentary at The Andy Warhol Museum on October 15 at 7:00 PM.
The film was screened in festivals in Lincoln, NE; Bentonville, AR; Vancouver, Cananda; New Haven, CT; Denver, CO; and Joshua Tree, CA.
“Boy Box” optimistically proposes broader access to the joys and benefits of fluid, detachable masculine traits.
The film won awards at the San Francisco Documentary Festival, the Indy Film Fest and at ImageOut Rochester Spring Festival.

Professor Angela Washko’s work “At the Expense of Watching” is included in the exhibition “GameXCinema – Machinima” at the Korean Film Archive in Seoul.
“War Games” was published in the May 2021 print issue of The Architectural Review, which focuses on the theme of play.
Washko, in collaboration with Tyler students, created “Always On”—a digital, social practice performance that took place in Habbo.
The screenings all occur during the first half of May.
