Professor DeYoung Co-Curates “Strange Loops”

Professor Johannes DeYoung and co-curator Federico Solmi present “Strange Loops,” a group exhibition that explores the anxieties and conflicting emotions brought about by rapid technological change. The exhibition in on view at Artspace New Haven December 14, 2019 through February 29, 2020.

“Strange Loops” bridges a gap in the ongoing exploration of mass media’s hegemonic influence in an effort to create avenues for agency, plurality, and retort. Featured artists include: Sam Messer, Sarah Oppenheimer, Jon Kessler, Ana María Gómez López, Blinn & Lambert, Ilana Harris-Babou, Teddy Mathias and The Virtual Dream Center. An exhibition catalog featuring essays by DeYoung, Solmi, and guest author Dan Cameron is available through the gallery.
